The Challenge

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our IT team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting and support to end-users in our organization.

Details

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
  • Provide first-level support to end-users via phone, email, chat, or in person.
  • Assist users with hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Set up and manage user accounts and access permissions.
  • Ensure security and compliance by applying patches and updates.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist with VPN configurations.
  • Monitor and respond to security alerts, ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Purchase and delivery of new/used equipment at the time of new hires onboarding
  • Equipment returns at the time of employee offboarding

About You

Must have:

  • Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
  • Familiarity with common software applications, antivirus tools, and productivity suites.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice to have:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience with ticketing systems.
