JAVA Developer (Middle) - remote

You will be a key member of our growing team responsible for backend Java development for a variety of enterprise scale solutions for the transportation industry.

Details

• Create solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining Java based components and interfaces
• Analysis, programming, testing, and debugging of software
• Managing the development of Java and Java EE applications
• Providing a high level of availability and performance and participating in all stages of the development process
• Identifying production and non-production application issues

About You

Must have:

• Degree in Computer Science or another technical/scientific field
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering using Java
• Proficient in Java 8+, Spring Framework & Spring Boot
• Good knowledge of JPA & SQL
• Experience with message-based architectures, with developing secure applications and with configuration management
• Solid development practices and emphasis on code quality
• Teamwork and customer communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English both verbal and written

Nice to have:

• Good knowledge of HTML & JavaScript
• Good knowledge of Angular or a similar UI framework
• Experience with containerized apps and container orchestration solutions
• Experience with IBM queues and ActiveMQ
• Continuous integration and deployment experience
