QA Tester Engineer

The Challenge
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for thoroughly reviewing and testing software applications to ensure they meet quality standards. Your primary focus will be on executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with the development team to enhance the overall software quality.
Details
- Executes manual test cases under varying circumstances for new functionalities and regressions.
- Documents and evaluates test results.
- Detects, logs, and reports product bugs and glitches.
- Tracks defects and helps troubleshoot errors.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans.
- Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Assist with developing quality control processes & product quality specifications.
- Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
- Identifying areas of weakness to existing procedures, continually implement new procedures, and assess risk of impact from changes to project.
- Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes.
About You
Must have:
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques.
- Minimum 2 year of proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role, preferably in software development or IT industry.
- Experience working in a virtual machine (VM) environment and with command-line interfaces.
- Experience writing SQL queries for database testing and validation.
- Experience with a test case management system (e.g., Qase or similar)
- Experience in Agile frameworks and regression testing.
- Advanced English knowledge (B2 or higher)
- Excellent communication skills; experience working in cross-cultural settings a plus.
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in project management and QA methodology.
- Experience with a test case management system (e.g., Qase or similar)
- Experience with JavaScript and/or BrowserStack.
- Familiarity with mobile app testing tools and frameworks.
